With just days left until the much anticipated Dream Chasers Award 2025, we caught up with the creative force behind the event, Ajayi Adekola, the Creative Director of SWG Entertainment. In this exclusive sit-down, Dekola takes us through the build-up to the event, the vision driving this year’s theme, and what attendees can expect on June 14th in AAUA.

Gratitude, we are just grateful to God for how far we have come on this particular edition
We have recorded amazing results from our intentional preparations and we can’t wait to show everyone what we have in store for this year’s edition of Dreamchasers Award

What are the final touches and preparations you are focusing on as the event date approaches?
Basically, it's to ensure all our plans for a great guest experience are intact.
There are too many details and too much work that goes into this, but that’s just the summary
Could you give us a sneak peek of any inspiring highlights to expect at the Dream Chasers Award 2025?
So like the theme says, it’s going to be a “Convergence of Luxury and Lifestyle”. From the setup, to the entertaining performances, to our guests looking their best showing off premium lifestyle, and so on
There’s a lot to expect, this event is not the regular, trust me.

Of course, the anticipation is very high, very crazy, as we speak this edition is the most talked about event in the AAUA Community, and we are not going to deliver anything less.
Your event brand, SWG has spearhead how many Dream Chasers Award events editions so far?
This is the third, special gratitude to Zeal Concept Initiative for the platform
Ofcourse. Speaking about Zeal Concept Initiative. You didn’t mention AAUA Amebo, is the brand not in on this year's Dream Chasers Award Edition?
AAUA Amebo & Zeal Concept Initiative are like two sides of a coin when it comes to Dream Chasers Award
So Yes, AAUA Amebo has always been a part and is still a part of the event, that is the most influential media company in the AAUA Community and we are blessed to have him on board with us.
Okay. So How have Zeal Concept and AAUA Amebo played a role in this year's edition of DCA?
The Support and encouragement has been amazing and it feels so good to have men that has done amazing work support the youngsters, it’s been amazing.
How do you feel? and how do you feel about Dream Chasers Award in general?
I feel good, I’m happy we have an event like Dreamchasers Award recognizing “Dream Chasers” literally, and I can’t wait for everyone to experience the convergence of luxury & lifestyle

What makes Dream Chasers Award 2025 different from the previous ones you've anchored?
The Convergence of Luxury & Lifestyle, that’s the difference and everyone will see that on the 14th of June in AAUA.

Was it intentional because it's a big date in history or was just a coincidence?
It’s just a coincidence but it’s a big day in the AAUA Community.

The Dream Chasers Awards was conceived nine years ago by (Zeal of Africa) Zeal Concept Initiative in conjunction with AAUA Amebo with a vision to recognize and celebrate the exceptional talent and ambition that thrives within the campus community.
It is an annual award event, dedicated to recognizing the outstanding achievements of individuals from AAUA where we honor their excellence and inspire others to reach new heights.
Has anything change so far as we are getting closer to the date?
Nothing, we are all waiting for the big day
Okay. You tagged this year "Convergence of Luxury and Lifestyle" What really inspired it and what do you hope to achieve with Dream Chasers Award 2025?
We hope to give our guests a better experience than the last edition, that’s the goal.
To get better with each edition, this year’s theme was inspired by the last edition, we know people wanted it and that’s why we are doing it this time; and the reception has been amazing
As Always. Can you share with us the challenges you've faced so far and how have you navigated or faced it?
Just like every other edition, there will always be challenges, especially now that everything is on the high side, our cost of production is almost double of what we spent at the last edition, and guess what; we are still selling tickets the same price from last edition.
We thank God for helping us through the whole challenges, all eyes on the big day

Speaking of Production, can you tell us the amount of funds that have gone into the production of this event?
Baba!!!!, millions have gone into this. It’s a multimillion naira project, and it’s exclusive for our guests
Is there a particular thing that stood out for you while planning this event? Like a BTS kind of?
The reception from people, it’s been amazing, I won’t lie. It’s a major inspiration for myself and the entire team
As a Leader, how has this year's edition grown to you compared to previous editions?
